Finally the graphing function is a total joke. You can only see two or three readings on the graph at any one time. I used to be able to see an entire week or month on the chart. Can you please fix this by it putting back the way it was. And while you're at it, give your managers and developers a two-star rating at performance review time. I really loved the app before the update. The way we have to input is more work, and less visibility for what we need. I only hope the notes follow with the recordings.
My other major complaint is the weight-we no longer can do kg? Why not? The slider was the best!!! My wish is that another company comes along to compete with OMRON-they would certainly have my business if it came to be. What a step backwards for us users. I thought app updates were supposed to make it easier to use the app not make it more difficult. I was very frustrated for a couple of days as well trying to get this all figured out!
One star or zero stars? Where is the old app? The new, blunders, beginning with first requiring ID and PW sign-in along with country designation. All the sharing parties are not specifically identified. My thought: Should say seek legal advice before agreeing. I paid good money for a BP monitoring machine with Bluetooth and simple App. OMRON I understand your goal to improve your product but not at the expense of functionality and privacy of your customers. I cannot sign this app as presented.
Stopped communicating with phone thru WiFi a week after downloading. If the app is offered it should work properly! The BP monitor works great. If I could give negative stars I most certainly would! This was a great app over the past year. But a couple days ago it stopped working on my iPhone Every time I clicked on the icon. It just showed the splash screen and the closed down. Online it just said to delete the app and reinstall it. When I did that this new version got installed saying I had to install another app fo Kardia.
So back to this app; it no longer works with my iPhone Health app. So nothing gets transferred. So I have to read it upside down. App does not separate user1 and user2 when you want to print out the list when you go to the doctor's office have with paper and pen write down the blood pressure number cumbersome.
I don't think the app is ready for functionality Zero stars out of five Stars. This latest update has greatly reduced the functionality and features I used. Most importantly, getting a report of my history data has become so much less user-friendly. When I want my data to be able to bring it into Excel, I want it immediately, not hours from now! There used to be many other options to get the Excel file, but I was most commonly uploading it to the files on my iPhone or into my Dropbox folders.
All those other options are gone. I suppose this was all done to simplify the interface, but in the process of dumbing it down you are removing some of the features I used very regularly. Show history takes many minutes….. The app is simply horrible. It never recognizes my blood pressure device. Please fix this app or we will have to switch bp monitor carriers and subscriptions. Thank you. The new app took 20 minutes to pair with my Omron scale after multiple tries, and it never paired with the blood pressure device.
The design is also not user friendly! Took my BP this morning. Omron showed it was syncing. Then it said no new readings! Changing from dashboard to history view takes a minute or more. Likewise switching between BP and pulse charts. What could possibly be taking so long? Please remove the date range limitation of the history report like version 5.
In fact it would resolve all the issues if both versions were available. Please update the app! Just deleted app. Apparently it updated and did not transfer history data from the old app. It asked me if I wanted to transfer data, I said yes and it promptly informed me there was an error. I gave the fix 30 min of my time and just gave up. All of the data is stored in the blood pressure monitor device itself. Would happily give this app 0 stars if I could for wasting my time.
With the latest update 7. This despite removing and reinstalling the app. This latest update rates only 2 stars. Update: now the app no longer syncs data with the iPhone Health app. Now down to 1 star rating. I can sync a new measurement. Also, they ruined data export by limiting you to 3 months of data at a time.
You used to go back as far as you wanted, like back to the date of your last doctors appointment. Now you have to do multiple exports and pieces then together. How is this better? Please bring the old app back! It takes far too long to load history readings. I like to pull this feature up when I am in my doctors office so that he can see how my blood pressure is trending.
Five minutes to load this information is way too long. Please fix this feature asap. Sometimes newer is not better if something is working properly. The current version of this app is poor, as if it was designed by middle school students as an after school project.
The previous version of the app was superior; why are you going backward in polish? If this app was my product in QA, it would still be in QA. Continues to get worse. Extremely slow loading in all functions. HINT: sort these posted reviews chronologically and you will see high numbers of 1 and 2 star ratings.
I have my monitor set up for tru-read with 60 seconds between readings and those 3 readings are rarely close to each other. Try read reports show all 3 readings rather then the average and there are no spaces between readings making history difficult to track without modifying the format. This is appalling service from Omron and I strongly advise users with free text not to migrate.
There was not way of going back and retrieving the medically important information which is now lost. This is absolutely the worst app I've ever tried to use.
If possible I would give it no stars. There are so many problems with it, it's hard to know where to begin but first of all it wouldn't accept my log in details so I created another account and it didn't like that either, I constantly got an error message saying "Syncing with the Cloud failed" and asking me to get in touch with the technical team. Unfortunately, this useless app then just locks and won't allow me to do anything so I've deleted it as I seriously can't be bothered spending any more time on such rubbish.
I downloaded the app to try it. I don't like it. The Bluetooth constantly syncs with my phone. I tried to disable the sync. I couldn't. It takes up almost MB of memory. All the time it's using up my data. I uninstalled the app. The app is a disaster. Just return to the previous one. Pairing is an issue with OA5 connect. It doesn't pair. I am convinced that I leave Omron ecosystem for good.
Devices are reliable, Omron app has been a disaster. Just fire head of department and hier some developers that know how to develop a user-friendly app. I should be able to connect to my blood pressure cuff and keep a log of the measurements without creating an account on yet another service that I have no control over.
There's no way to use this app without creating an account on Omron's service. Hopeless, want to stick with the old version. This app has made me wish I had never bought the Omron Wrist Monitor, it is awful like everyone else says.
I will never buy an Omron product again because of it as I can't trust them. It was ok on the old app, the new app has just ruined everything, Omron should sack their developer! More difficult to use, and harder to find information. It doesn't show previous averages last week, month etc whereas the old version showed averages over the period displayed.
I now have to flip between graphs to see pulse vs bp. The line graph is harder to visualise than the old version. This is a step back. Can I use the old version? The new app repeatedly fails to sync with my scales. You can't view your history like you could on the old app. I want to be able to see the trends over longer than one week! Wish I'd just kept the old app for as long as I could. The prior software had every day in history not an average. I do not like this version at all. But this app is total garbage.
How is a Bluetooth device this difficult to pair and transfer data with in this day and age? It feels like technology from My device is on, the app is on. I must have 30 other Bluetooth devices that set up in second and pair and communicate with each other seamlessly and automatically all day, everyday. This thing? Is this the dark ages? This app is abject garbage and the company should be embarrassed to have this out in public.
I mean, this is a medical device and this is the best you can do? Unforgivable really. Terrible in every way. They need to go out and hire a 20 year old college kid who knows how to build a real, functional app. This one is terrible. I am very happy with my monitor. It is very compact and the readings are right there on the cuff. The app, on the other hand, ought to sync more easily than it does. For example, I had a fit bit device years ago that effortlessly updated on my phone without me having to do anything.
With this app, It is a bit of an ordeal to transfer information from the cuff to the app. Most of the time, I get notified that the transfer failed even though the BP readings are uploaded. There also should be a provision to annotate individual readings with observations of extenuating reasons to better understand why the reading at that particular time was what it was.
Had I known that, I would have looked into buying that brand instead. Well, I was recently notified upon opening the Wellness app that there was a new app, the Connect app, that I needed to download due to Wellness being outdated and that I needed to begin using Connect. So, I downloaded Connect, logged in with my Omron account, took a reading, and went on my merry way.
Yes, after you enable the HealthKit sharing option within the Connect app it will then just offer a tip window reminding you to enable the sharing preferences in the HealthKit app. What a disaster. My reason for purchasing this BP monitor is now null and void. App is hit and miss with Omron Cuff. Given this cuff is a couple years old but with every IPhone IOS update it becomes harder to get it to sync with my Iphone. The old app prior to the integration of the two lead Kardia EGK monitor in the app worked flawlessly but now I have the hardest time getting it to sync.
My cardiologist recommended two years ago that I purchase the Kardia device when it was new and had the cuff roughly a year before that. I have CDK along with some afib issues and my nephrologist and cardiologist liked reviewing the monthly reports to fine tune my medications. The company has really dropped the ball. The Kardia device is much more accurate than a one lead on the Apple Watch for example which my cardiologist says is junk.
It also makes me question the interpretation of the apps EKG monitoring since I can feel when I have a heart flutter and the app AI registers that everything is ok.
I would avoid both until they get this sorted. Instead, it only imports the average. And still does, but it duplicates readings, because it no longer checks to see if readings have already been imported. They caused the old version to stop working. For those who are having trouble getting the readings into Apple Health, it does import the average. This is a great app but it needs some serious intuitive improvements. The graphing of BP results could be much improved.
For instance when I pull up a range of blood pressures to view the graph parameters remain vary wide instead of auto shrinking or increasing the range so you have a better visual of your specific readings.
Not useful. Also why do I have to go to my profile to change my weight. Every time. I still recommend this app but for crying out loud make it more useful. No longer able to transfer to the app. Looking forward to an update. I often just give up and transfer them later after another round of readings, but by then I cannot recall the posture specifics or other notes that I should add to the app for my Drs reference.
I would find this far more frustrating if my symptoms were more severe. The design and quality of the cuff is great, and hopefully the connection issues are resolved in a future update. Upon trying to create an account the Wellness app popped up a screen that said a new app was available and would not let me go any further. So I decided to delete the Wellness app and chance the downloading of Connect. I created my account and was working with Apple Health without issue. I would like to also point out this was my first time using Apple Heath and a wireless BP tracker and had no issues.
I would say whatever was wrong was corrected. I do wish that the graph had an option for line graphs as well as scatter graph. Overall ok, It would be easy to make better. So I bought a 7 series wrist cuff for an elderly relative.
I had gotten tired of reading multiple logs of BP, so the idea of smart phone logging is an important function for me. Sometimes the wrist cuff has trouble connecting to the iPhone. The cuff usually will usually allow download right after it finishes taking a reading. Sometime the sync button on the cuff is necessary.
Occasionally it will still sync even after the cuff has been turn of recently. Once in a while it syncs very slow or takes a second try. Are Sunday evenings and Monday mornings always red? The calendar displays blood pressure pattern at a glance. A series of drinking parties during the weekends has increased my blood pressure! With Memo Icons, you can see the relation between lifestyle and blood pressure!
Setting medication reminders has made me less prone to forgetting to take my medicine, and helped me achieve my target. If you continue measurements for 1 year, you will be able to review seasonal trends in your blood pressure with graphs. Do values differ depending on the time of measurement? It is very compact and the readings are right there on the cuff.
